Foundry is Eigen Bio’s drug discovery and development business. We map resistance biology, identify target hypotheses and evaluate interventions designed to address treatment-persistent disease.

Our starting point

Start with
the disease state.

A useful therapeutic hypothesis begins with a precise question about a defined disease state.

We investigate the molecular and regulatory programs associated with persistence, response, and resistance. That context guides which mechanisms to examine, which targets to qualify, and which interventions may be relevant.

Eigen Bio’s Foundry approach connects this scientific work to the practical requirements of building a therapeutic program. Each stage makes the evidence, uncertainties, and next decision explicit.

The Foundry approach

The drug development
workflow.

A structured progression from disease biology to the experiments that determine what advances.

01

Define the disease state

Specify the patient context, treatment history, unmet need, and biological state the program aims to address.

02

Find mechanistic convergence

Bring transcriptomic signals, regulatory relationships, and independent evidence together around testable intervention hypotheses.

03

Qualify the target

Examine the target’s role in the relevant state, the evidence for intervention, and the assumptions that need testing.

04

Evaluate human-exposed assets

Assess candidate interventions with prior human exposure against the proposed mechanism and the requirements of a development program.

05

Design the validation

Choose experiments, readouts, and decision criteria that test the program’s central hypothesis.

Prior human exposure provides useful development evidence. Its relevance to a new indication, dose, schedule, or combination requires separate assessment.

Asset and program diligence

Drug and
program diligence.

A mechanism needs an intervention with a credible path to evaluation.

  • Exposure and pharmacokineticsHuman exposure, dose, schedule, tissue relevance, and the relationship between achievable concentrations and the proposed mechanism.
  • Safety and tolerabilityClinical experience, known liabilities, discontinuation context, and uncertainties relevant to the intended patient population.
  • Modality and combination fitThe intervention’s biology and delivery, its suitability for monotherapy or a combination, and overlapping pharmacology or toxicities.
  • Rights and development feasibilityOwnership, available rights, intellectual property, supply, formulation, and the work needed to support a development path.

Build with us

Drug assets and
development partners.

We welcome asset owners, translational researchers, and development partners.

Conversations may begin with an asset, a disease mechanism, or a validation capability. Together, we can define the evidence needed to evaluate licensing, research collaboration, or co-development.
